SURROUNDING AREA

There are many beautiful walks just a step away from the cottage and within a 5 minute drive are two good pubs and a community shop.

Blickling Hall - National Trust

A Jacobean stately home situated in 5,000 acres of parkland in a loop of the River Bure and where the ghost of Ann Bolyen is reputedly to be present.  The property and surrounding area is meticulously managed by The National Trust.  The gardens are a pure delight in the Spring.

Just a short walk from the cottage is Mannington Hallhttps://manningtongardens.co.uk/
a moated medieval country house which opens it's gardens and cafe in the summer along with hosting many events including my favourite, the 'Vintage Lover Fair' in May.

Little Barningham is equatable distance between two towns, Holt, which is full of independent shops, galleries and cafes and Aylsham, a visually attractive small town which still has a Monday Auction, both these are just 12 minutes away.

Cromer, a traditional Victorian seaside town is just 10 miles away.  Use my beach hut for a day, book to learn to surf, or dawdle on the promenade watching others surf whilst drinking a coffee from North Sea Coffee Co or enjoying an ice-cream!

Cromer combines the charm of an ancient fishing town with the hustle and bustle of a modern seaside resort.

Noted for being the best fish and chips in town, head to No 1

Explore  Salle Moor Hall only a few miles from the Cottage. Surrounding the working farm  are cycle routes and public footpaths which wind through the centre of their commercial compound. where you can find a coffee shop, the first designated Paddle Tennis courts in the area along with a brewery and other events.

Coastal walks

Blakeney Harbour - A picturesque spot to view the many sailing boats and walk along the Salt Marshes towards Cley.

Sawdays Travel have produced a comprehensive guide to Norfolk which is worth noting as their selection of places to visit are those that I would recommend myself.
